Search for the Cooper River Expedition was completed last week and it was a huge success! The team included 4 students from Camden County, Upstream Alliance president Don Baugh, Camden County Parks director Maggie McCann, and National Geographic photographer Anand Varma. They spent 4 days kayaking/hiking/bushwhacking 16-miles exploring the “undiscovered” Cooper River. On the final day, the team found themselves in a densely wooded area in Gibbsboro where they stumbled upon a crystal clear, clean pond - the source of the Cooper River.
