Sikora Wells Appel specializes in landscape architectural design. Established in 1979, and formerly known as Wells Appel, we are committed to the synthesis of design, ecology, and economy.  Our approach to design is rooted in an understanding of a community’s history and culture, a site’s context and ecology, and our interest in art in the landscape.  We seek to emulate the timeless and innovative qualities of our firm's history as we explore new approaches to design. Each project is an opportunity, each site an inspiration, and each solution a reward.

Our services include land planning, landscape architecture, and urban design. Our objective is to work on projects that are unusually challenging and require creative problem solving. We are committed to meeting the special needs of each individual client. We endeavor to reach beyond the traditional boundaries of our field and act as the client’s advocate. Our philosophy mandates that we approach each project as if it were our own. 

While the majority of our projects come from repeat clients and direct referrals, we actively seek new challenges and relationships. Our substantial portfolio of institutional, educational, healthcare, corporate, and public work reflects the diversity of our practice and interests.
